Bailey Joe Ragon was born 12 July, 1925 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co. Ar. to Luke Jackson, Sr & Sarah Elizabeth Bailey Ragon

Bailey J Ragon enlisted with the US Army and was attached to the 289th Infantry Regiment, 75th Infantry Division as a Pfc. On his hospital card dated March 1945, it states: "Diagnosis: Pneumo-thorax, sucking, traumatic; Location: Muscles and Fasciae of the Trunk: Diaphragm; Location: Spleen. Causative Agent: Artillery Shell, Fragments, Medical Treatment: Celiotomy, exploratory (opening of abdominal cavity); Splenectomy (excision or extirpation of spleen."

Pfc Bailey Ragon died Mar 26, 1945 at the Field Hospital. He was buried at Plot F Row 13 Grave 12 Netherlands American Cemetery Margraten, Netherlands. He was honorded with the Purple Heart Medal.
