Martin Metzger Roberts was born March 5, 1916 in Morrilton, Conway Co., Arkansas to Herbert Farish & Marion Rebecca Metzger Roberts. June 12, 1944 he married Peggy Mar O'Neil. His second marriage at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. July 10, 1954 was to Thelma M. Satterfield. Martin registered for the military draft at Belle Point Scool, Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar October 16, 1940. He enlisted in the US Army June 30, 1942 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. and served until February 13, 1946. He registered again in a "Special Registration" January 15, 1951 at the court house in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. Nothing more is found about his military service. Dr. Martin Metzger Roberts passed away December 2, 1991 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was at Rose Lawn Park Cemetery in Fort Smith. April 9, 1956 Hope Star Hope, Arkansas
