Grady Eugene Saylor was born on 22 May 1920 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Henry Grady & Zula Okla Owens Saylor.

July 1, 1941 Grady registered for the draft. He served with the 127th Inf. On 26 Jul 1944 S/Sgt Grady Eugene Saylor was killed in battle. His burial was in the Fort Smith, National Cemetery 20 Jul 1948.

BODIES OF NINE SERVICEMEN RETURNED FOR BURIAL


The bodies of nine servicemen killed overseas were scheduled for reburial at the National Cemetery here with military honors this week. Burial will be under direction of the Edwards Funeral Home. Five of the bodies arrived at the funeral home Monday. Four more of the returned dead were to arrive Tuesday. The servicemen to be reburied here were:

STAFF SERGEANT GRADY E. SAYLOR JR., son of Mr. and Mrs. Grady E. Saylor Sr. of 120 North Fifth Street, whose funeral service was scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the National Cemetery.
