Harold A. Schuler was born Dec 2, 1918 in Sebastian County, Arkansas to Earl & Jessie Brittain Schuler. Dec 7, 1935 Harold married Nell McConnell. Both of them say their residence is Greenwood, Sebastian Co. Ar.

Harold registered for the military draft in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. at Parker School on October 16, 1940 and he enlisted in the US Navy on Sept 26, 1941 in Fort Des Moines, Iowa as he was living at Kossuth, Iowa at the time. His rank in the Navy was F1 or Fireman First Class.

Harold Albert Schuler passed away July 27, 1999 and was buried in Oak Valley Cemetery at Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar.

The Rev. Harold A. Schuler, 80, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, July 27, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Fort Smith and a Free Will Baptist Minister since 1952. He was a retiree from Harding Glass after 36 years and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith with burial at Oak Valley Cemetery, south of Lavaca.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel Nell; one daughter, Annelle Pierce of Van Buren; one son, Phillip Earl Schuler of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Angelia Bohannan and Kirk Pierce; one stepgrandson, Michael Sanders; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Harold, Christopher and Michael Rambo, Quince O'Kelly, Wendell Welbern Jr. and Leon Lamb.
