FUNERALS SLATED FOR THREE SOLDIERS


Funeral services for three soldiers who were killed overseas during World War II will be held Wednesday under direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Private Troy L. Schuler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schuler of Alameda, Calif., who was killed in action August 8, 1944 in France, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Edwards chapel with Rev. E.W. Sampkins, pastor of First Freewill Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at National Cemetery with military honors.

Besides his parents, survivors include his wife (Marie Schuler), one daughter, Mattie Mae of Fort Smith, five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service for Private James H. Simpson, who was killed overseas, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Edwards chapel with Rev. Fred Medford, Nazarene minister of Charlerston, officiating. Burial will be at national Cemetery with military honors.

Private Simpson is survived by his father, Earl F. Simpson of Mena, Arkansas.

Funeral service for Private 1st Class Kenneth T. Mitchell, who was killed in action also, will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday at National Cemetery. (from Benton Co., Ar)
