William Shaheen Shoffey was born Septemter 1, 1913 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Charles Shaheen & Fahada Vida Jamell Shoffey, who were both born in Lebanon. According to a divorce filing record by Goldia Gray Shoffey dated June 19, 1963 she and William had married August 14, 1938. October 5, 1963 he married Mrs. Goldia Gray Shoffey again in Fort Smith. William, on the 1940 census says that on April 1, 1935 his residence was at Ft. Riley. William registered for the military draft at Belle Grove in Fort Smith, Arkansas. October 16, 1940. He enlisted in the US Army April 14, 1944 at Camp Josepth T. Roinson in Little Rock, Ar. His final rank in the Army was SSgt. William Shaheen Shoffey passed away October 14, 2005 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. and was buried in the National Cemetery there.
