A Tribute to Dad
I want to thank every Veteran for their service. My Dad was in WWII, and here are some photos of Curtis E. Smith & Deployments and/or Wars happen to entire families. One of these photos is in Louisville, Kentucky where Mom & Dad were before he shipped out overseas. Jerry Smith was my Mom. God Bless our Veterans - Past, Present, and Future.

Curtis Elwood Smith was born September 26, 1915 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Emmitt Marshall & Bera Patterson Smith. On January 10, 1941 Curtis married Geraldine Emily "Jerry" Little in Fort Smith, Ar.

October 14, 1940 at the Fort Smith Junior High School Curtis registered for the military draft. He states that he was born Sept 26, 1914 and he is employed at Sears Robuck Co. Mrs. A. E. Foster, aunt, is the person he lists as the person who would always know his address. October 16, 1940 Curtis enlisted in the US Army. No further information is available about his service.

After the war Curtis returned to his home and family in Fort Smith. On December 3, 2002 Curtis Elwood Smith passed away at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. and was buried at Rose Lawn Park Cemetery at Fort Smith, Ar.
