Myren Lafayett "Fay" Stanfill was born October 5, 1924 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Charles Lafayette & Mae Douglas Stanfill. September 15, 1946 Myren married Alverne Ulmer of Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.

Myren enlisted in the US Army June 12, 1943 and served until December 11, 1945. On the 1950 census he and his wife are living at Greenwood, Ar. He is a trucker hauling coal. In 1955 their residence is at Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is a construction worker

Myren Lafayett "Fay" Stanfill passed away August 18, 2006 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was in Dawson Memorial Cemetery at Milltown, Sebastian Co., Ar.

M.F. "Bud" Stanfill, 81, of Fort Smith passed away Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, in his home. He was retired from Arkhola Sand and Gravel, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, member of Temple Baptist Church, 32nd-degree Mason and member of Masonic Lodge F&AM in Linden, Texas, and member of the Western Arkansas Consistory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mae and Fay Stanfill.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Temple Baptist Church in Fort Smith with burial at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood. Viewing will be Monday from 1 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Alverne, of the home; two sons, Richard Stanfill and Greg Stanfill and his wife, Annette, of Springdale; and two grandchildren, Jessica Stanfill and Josh Stanfill, both of Springdale.

Pallbearers will be Casey Cochran, Mark Ulmer, Cliff Miller, Brent Goodwin, Jerry Ulmer and Sheridan Douglas.

Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church or the Greenwood Historical Society.
