Henry Thomas Williams was born October 28, 1917 in Greenwood,Sebastian Co., Ar. to Thomas James & Ethel Mary Johnson Williams. January 28, 1939 Henry married Carrie Flora Spicer. Both were residents of Greenwood, Ar. They married in Franklin Co., Ar. On August 10, 1948 Henry & Carrie divorced at Logan, Northern District, Ark. They re-married March 17, 1953 in Sebastian Co., Ar. Carrie was a resident of Kansas City, Jackson, Mo. at this time. She died in 2005. The spouse listed on his marker is Loretta Lillian Tatum. I have not been able to locate any records of this marriage. Henry registered for the military draft October 16, 1940 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co. Ar. He enlisted in the US Army February 23, 1945. He left the service October 19, 1946. He re-enlisted January 4, 1948 and was discharges June 15, 1961. On his enlistment records from 1945 he states he completed 4 years of high school and his occupation was "retail managers". He served in WII and Korean War. MSgt. Henry Thomas Williams passed away Feburary 9, 1973 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. He is buried in the National Cemetery at Fort Smith, Arkansas.
