Robert Jerry Wilson, Jr. was born in 21 Nov 1921 in Franklin Co., Ar to Robert Jerry Sr. and Docia Manola Lowe Wilson. Robert Jr and his mom and sister were living in Sebastian Co., Ar. by 1935. By 1940 he had a step dad, Patrick Fred C Kirkpatrick. On the 1940 census of Fort Smith, Ar. it states Robert had completed 4 years of high school.

Robert enlisted 12 Sep 1940 in the Philippine Department of the Army Coast Artillery Corps. as a Private. He was reported missing May 7 1942 and declared dead in Sep 1948. He had been a POW and never returned. He was held by Japan at the Osaka Main Camp Chikko Osaka 34-135. The last report was dated Sept 10, 1945.
