Photo Submitted by Lavaca Historical Museum Charles Lewis "Charley" Moore was born September 13, 1903 in Big Creek Township, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Louis Russell & Maude Elizabeth Patterson Moore. March 3, 1944 Charley, now living in Lavaca, Big Creek, Sebastian Co., Ar. married Joyce T. Sellers from Mansfield, Sebastian Co., Ar. on February 28, 1944. Charlie enlisted in the US Army at Little Rock, Ar. October 31, 1942 at age 40 years, in the Army Medical Administrative Corps. as a Corporal. He states on his enlistment he completed 2 years of high school. Charles Lewis Moore passed away April 8, 1979 and is buried in the Oak Valley Cemetery in Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar.
