Rayburn L. Green was born April 9, 1943 at Charleston, Franklin Co., Ar. to Louie William & Madge Altus Gantt Green. No marriage record has been found. His wife was Selma J.

Rayburn served with the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War time. Nothing more is known about his service.

Rayburn passed away May 1, 2016 at Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was in Oak Valley Cemetery there.

Rayburn L. Green, 73, of Lavaca died Sunday, May 1, 2016, in his home.
He was born April 9, 1943, in Charleston. He was a graduate of Lavaca High School and served in the Arkansas National Guard. He was co-owner and operator of G and G Brick Co. in Fort Smith and Sunset Lodge Retirement Center of Greenwood, was a member of the Board of Directors at River Valley Bank and Trust in Lavaca and Barling, a 32nd-degree Mason, Victory Lodge No. 470 in Barling, and a member of Lavaca First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Selma; two sons, Justin and Cory Green, both of Lavaca; two brothers, Maurice and Richard Green, both of Lavaca; and four grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. at Lavaca First Baptist Church with burial at Oak Valley Cemetery in Lavaca under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

Pallbearers were Jerry Bias, Stanley Green, Mike Newman, Willard and Wendell Holmes, Danny Cross, Dane Douglas and Jack Stuart.
