LITTLE ROCK — A 13-year-old boy on a scooter was fatally struck by a sport utility vehicle Sunday after he ran through a stop sign in Fort Smith, police said.

Bobby Blair III was riding north on Meandering Court when he ran through a stop sign and into the path of a Saturn Vue on Meandering Way, according to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report. It happened about 6:20 p.m.

Blair was taken to St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
