5-31-1901 - FIVE GRADUATE FROM THE INSTITUTE - Five graduates from the Crowley Ridge Institute ceremonies:Mr.Blanton Neel, Salutatorian;Miss Tolise Rollwage, Miss Estelia Doyle, Miss Matti Mai Davis, and Miss Louise Gatling, Valedictorian.
1901 ROLLWAGE, TOLISE MISS-Marriage:Tolise Rollwage and John Rudolph Grobmyer. They moved to Little Rock in 1926 when Mr.Grobmyer moved the family to open a lumber company. She died Aug.19, 1958 and her husband died Sep.24,1944. Both are buried in Roselawn Mem. Park in Little Rock.

1901 DAVIS, MATTIE MAI MISS-b.May 1883 -Daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Jefferson and Martha (Hood)Davis of Happy Home, three miles south of the city. Still single in 1911, living in Memphis, Tenn., when her brother Thomas Brandenburg passed away. Still single when her father died in 1920. Not mentioned in mothers obituary, in 1926.

1901 GATLING, LOUISE MISS-VALEDICTORIAN-Birth: Jul. 3, 1885 Death: Aug. 30, 1966-Buried City CemeteryFuneral services for Mrs.Louise Gilliam, 81, who died this morning in Forrest Memorial Hospital, will be held Wednesday in Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Rev.Charles B.Hoglan will conduct the services. Burial will follow in Forrest City cemetery under direction of Stevens Funeral Home. A lifelong resident of the city and a member of the Episcopal Church, Mrs.Gilliam had been in failing health for several months. She was hospitalized after suffering a fall three months ago. Born here on July 3,1885, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Skinner Gatling and John Gatling. In 1908, she married James M.Gilliam, who died in 1960. Survivors include two sons, Henry G.Gilliam of El Dorado, and Julian Gilliam of Little Rock; two brothers, Tom Gatling of Forrest City and James Gatling of Winter Park, Fla.
