(Q-76) (NOTE: She is buried in George's Chapel Cemetery about two miles south of old New London and four miles north of Strong, and east of the Strong-New London road. George's Chapel was a Methodist Episcopal Church South with a nice church building at one time. This cemetery has the most beautiful and expensive monuments found in the county among the old cemeteries. It was the only one with a a marble fence, approximately 50 feet by 50 feet, and a height of 48 inches. This is the only marble fence of this height and size ever observed in any cemetery anywhere. It is now in utter ruin as is this old cemetery. Markers were stolen throughout this county between 1942 - 1946. This cemetery has been known to me since childhood and recently I had to have someone who lived at New London to find it for me. It has completely grown up and the road is gone. All inscriptions have been copied. The tumbling monuments and marble fence speak of the wealth of this section of the county prior to 1860.)
