Located  off  HiBank Road, which runs South off of  Hwy.82 between El Dorado &

Strong, Union County, Arkansas. This is a lovely little cemetery and well maintained.

First canvassed November 11, 2001.  Some updated info taken from a canvass done

in December 1989, by Lillian McGowen, Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Weldon, & Ester Trull.

*Donald lost his mother at age 2, & his father at age 14. He had to  begin

working at a movie theater as a projector operator to help support his younger sister.

*He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp in 1958, serving proudly.  After his

discharge, he returned to his hometown & began working for the Rock Island

Railroad. In the early 60's, he moved to Crossett & began a long career

with Ashley Drew & Northern Railway Co., where he worked as an engineer,

trainmaster, & eventually the Operational Superintendent.  He remained there

until AD & N closed in June of 1996. & was the last one to lock the depot door

*A son, Gary Don Smith preceded him in death.

*Member of Beech Street Baptist Church. .

*Survived by his loving wife, Glenda Ware Smith of Crossett. Survived by,
