Know all men by these Present, that I, John N. Henry, of the
County and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the natural
love and affection I bear to my son, John Ringer Henry and for
inconsideration of the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid the
Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge by Thomas Nettles, for the
consideration in this deed expression contained have given granted
bargained and sold and by these powers do give grant bargain and
sell the following negro woman slave.
To Witt. A negro woman named Dilcey, age fourteen years to him,
to him the said Thos. Nettles his heirs and asign upon and to
the use interest and purpose hereafter. That Thos. Nettles his
heirs and asigns shall receive the rents and profits of said negro
and her increases if any there be and apply the same to the title
and benefits of my son John Ringer Henry, during his minority
and until he is twenty-one or may die and when or immediately
after either of these events then to convey to him the said negro
and her increase in such a manner and forum as the said John Ringer
Henry may think proper.
Given under my hand and seal this 14th day of January A D 1843
