Know all men by these present that we Jarrett Brickey as Principal and David Griggs & Thomas J. Griggs as Securities __ hold and duly bound unto the State of Ark. in the Just and Final Sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars for the payment whereof will & truly to be made and bind ourselves and heirs Executors and administrators firmly by these presents - Witness our hand and seals at Clinton this 28th day of Sept. AD 1861. The condition of the above obligation in such that by the above binding Jarret Brickey administrator of all and Singular the goods & Chattle rights & Credits of Gabriel Eads Dec'd. Shall make on Cause to be made a true & perfect Inventory of all and Singular the goods & chattle Rights and credits of the Said deceased which have or May Come to the hands possession or knowledge of him the Said Jarret Brickey or into the hands or possession of any other person for him and the same so made Shall return and Exhibit in the office of the Clerk of the Court of probate for the County of Van Buren within Sixty days from the date of the above obligation all & singular the goods & chattles Rights & Credits of the Deceased Which shall come to the hands possession of or knowledge of him the said Jarret Brickey Shall well & truly administer according to laws and pay the debts of the dec'd as far as his assets will extend and the laws directs and further make or cause to be made Just & True accounts of his administration and make true and proper Settlements thereof from time to time according to law or the lawful order Sentence or decree of __ Court having competent jurisdiction & shall moreover ____ and truly do and perform all other matters & things during such administration that are ____ _____ by Law __ _____ on such administration by the lawful order Sentence ordered of ___ court having competent Jurisdiction from the above obligation to be Void and of __ effect otherwise to remain in full force and Venture. In the Probate Court of Van Buren County in Vocation Sept the 28th AD 1861 the State of Arkansas

To all to whom these presents shall come greeting;

Know Ye that whereas the Gabriel Eads of the County of Van Buren died Intestate and is Said on or about the 20th day of August AD 1861 having at the time of his death personal property in this State which may be lost destroyed or diminished in value if speedy care be not taken of the same to the end therefore that the said property may be collected preserved and disposed of according to law we do hereby appoint Jarret Brickey of the county of Van Buren administrator of all and singular the goods and chattle rights and credits which were of the said Gabriel Eads at the time of his death with full power and authority to secure and dispose of the said property according to law ___ in general to do and perform all others acts and things which are & hereafter may be requested of me by law.

In testimony whereof I Jonathan T. Bradley Clerk of the circuit court and exoficio clerk of the court of probate in and for the county of Van Buren aforesaid have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of office on this 28th day of September AD 1861.
