Subject was educated in Van Buren Co., Ark., was a farmer, Democrat and Missionary Baptist. Enlisted in Co. D, 8th Ark. Inf. in White Co., Ark. under Capt. Couch, Capt. McCauley and Col. Patterson, served from July 1861 to 1865. Married Sarah Ann Rook, dau. of Mint and Nancy Rook.

Colver. His grandmother was Laura Neal who lived in NC and Crawford Co., Ark. Maiden name of subject's mother was Rosana Robinson, dau. of James and Kasiah Robinson, who lived at Crawford Co. and van Buren Co., Ark. "Grandfather Robinson came from France and landed at Charleston, SC. Robinson had an uncle killed in the Revolutionary War." Subject was educated in Van Buren Co., Ark. and Denton Co., Tex. He was engaged in farming and teaching and the merchantile business. He was county examiner of Crawford Co., ark., served 3 terms in legislature of Crawford Co. 1890 to 1896. Was in battles of Marks Mill, Poison Springs and Quachita River. Married Miss Maddox, dau. of John and Katie Maddox who lived in Van Buren Co., Ark. on Dec. 21, 1865 or 66 in Conway Co., Ark.

Served with Venables Co., enlisted from Van Buren Co., Ark. Venables Mill 1862, served till 1865 and was paroled in 1865, released from prison in May 1865, in prison at Little Rock, Ark., was in battles at Prairie Grove and detailed in Blochards Battery of Little Rock. Married Harriett Moore and Lizzie Moore, Aug. 1872, Salem, Ark., Dec. 1891, Heber Springs, Ark. Fathers were Wesley Moore and Isaac Moore.

Subject was a farmer, Democrat and Missionary Baptist. Served with Co. B, enlisted from Searcy and Izard Co., batesville 1863, served 2 years. Married Miss Reed, dau. of David and Millie Reed of Tenn. in 1873 in Stone Co., Ark.

WOOD, Thomas Bailey of Enders, Ark. was born Mar. 8, 1827 at Scottsborough, Jackson Co., Ala. the son of Armstead Wood of SC, who lived near Conway, Mo. and his wife Charity Normon, dau. of Martin Normon. Subject was a Democrat and a Methodist. He served with Co. E, 31st Batt. Ark. Troops, under Col. McRea, enlisted from Quitman, Ark. and was assigned to Infantry. Married Sabrey McNeas Plant, dau. of William Plant and wife Nancy Cargle, of Enders, Ark.

His mother was a Hamilton, dau. of Jas. and Sarah Hamilton of Ohio and Va. Subject was educated at Beverly, Va. profession "public works" and was a Democrat. Served with Co. A, enlisted from Wood Co., Va. in 1862, 15th Va. Cavalry, in battles at Gettysburg, Stone River, White Sulphur Springs, Va. Married Alice Bryant, dau. of harvey Bryant, 1867 in Mo.
