Farmers of this community have been and are yet so busy at the ordinary affairs of farm life they have had no time to engage in anything that would be classed as "news". With your permission we would like to devote whatever space you have given our community this week to a brief sketch of some of the many folks living here now traveling the shady side of life. Among these we first mention, Aunt Nan Gray, 86 years of age the 28th of this month, and a native of this community where she has always resided. Aunt Nan has been married three times, her first husband being General Bradford. To them three children were born, but none of them survive. Her second husband was Tom Compton. Seven children were born of this union, three of whom survive as follows: Nathan Compton of Blue, Okla., Mrs. Ellen Gadberry of Lake City, Ark., Mrs. Harriett Holderfield of LeFlore, Okla. The death of one son, Jim. occurred the 6th of this month at Lindale, Okla.
