Lesleys' 53rd Anniversary

Celebrates Fifty-Third Wedding Anniversary
Mr. And Mrs. R. F. Lesley celebrated their 53rd, wedding anniversary very quietly at their home at Morganton, February 22.
Mr. Lesley was born in Pontotoc County, Mississippi May 15, 1856 and moved to Arkansas, with his parents, in 1868 where they settled near rose Bud in White County. In the year 1870 they moved to Van Buren County, near Bee Branch and since that time has resided there. In 1887 he was united in marriage to Sue M. Brittian, daughter of a pioneer family of Van Buren County, who was born October 12, 1866.
To this couple were born three children, Mrs. Eber Dawson, who died in 1925; Mrs. Ellis Parish and Cecil B. Lesley, both Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Lesley are quiet active for their age. Mrs. Lesley serves as correspondent for the Van Buren County Democrat, a position she has held for some 20 years.
