Evansville Cemetery
aka Lewis Cemetery
Most unique of all the burials in the Lewis cemetery
is a raised plot containing the dust
of four girls -- maybe more -- all of whom died in
1835. This large plot was walled in, and finely
engraved headstones were set in the wall.
The whole thing has collapsed during the passing of
119 years, but the inscriptions can still be read.
