Carl Eli Gibson, 68, Wheeler, died April 20 at a Fayetteville hospital.
Born Feb. 17, 1907 in the Zion community, he was the son of John and
Sally Greathouse Gibson. He was a retired farmer.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Girtha Gibson of the home;
one son, J. W. Gibson; two daughters, Mrs. Lele Dunlap, Wheeler,
and Mrs. Phyllis Keith, Phoenix, Aris.; three brothers, Jess Gibson,
Goodman, Mo., Orville Gibson, Oildale, Calif., and Carmen Gibson,
Fresno, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Jewel Chesser, Wyandotte, Okla., Mrs. Ruby
Miller, Caruthers, Calif., and Mrs. Crystal Young, Lamont, Calif.,
and seven grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the White Oak Community
Church near Wheeler. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery under
the direction of Wasson’s Funeral Home.
