   George Harrison Gibson, 89, of 1319 Hembree Lane, Springdale,
died Dec. 11 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 5, 1890, at Spring
Valley, he was the son of Christopher Columbus and Alice Brown Gibson and
was the widower of Oved Dell Smith Gibson. He was a member of Caudle Avenue
Baptist Church and was well known in handcraft circles as a weaver.

   Survivors include three sons, Harvey Gibson of Greenland, Earl Gibson of
Winslow and Don Gibson of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Nakai
of Tontitown and Mrs. Thelma Turner of Springdale; three brothers, John
Gibson of Brentwood, Bill Gibson of West Fork and Denver Gibson of Fayetteville;
three sisters, Mrs. Verna Richards of Clarkston, Wash., Mrs. Nancy Curry and
Mrs. Maudie Kelly of Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sisco Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be in Sonora Cemetery.
