JOHN KING - from Spring Valley - John King was born in Hardin Co. Kentucky,
1834; removed to Arkansas in 1856 and was married to Minerva Gibson in 1865,
since which time he has resided with his family until his death which
occurred Monday, August 11, 1902. He was a member of the Methodist church, a
good citizen, a kind father and a devoted husband. He leaves a companion,
eight children and a host of friends to mourn his death. The bereaved family
has the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in their hour of affliction.
