Library & Office

The office of WCHS is located at 118 E. Dickson in Fayetteville. The office is currently staffed
by volunteers. It is open from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Thursdays, and from 10:00 a.m. to noon
on Saturdays. 

In May, 1996, the WCHS Genealogy & Library Committee relocated the library and 
genealogy files previously kept at Headquarters House to public facilities with longer hours
and paid staff.

The genealogy files were moved to the Genealogy Dept. of the Fayetteville Public Library,
227 E. Dickson St, Fayetteville, AR 71701. The library is open Monday thru Saturday 
from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The WCHS photograph collection is now located at The Shiloh Museum of Ozark 
History, 118 West Johnson Ave, Springdale, AR 72764. Their hours are 10:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Saturday. Arrangements for copies of any of these photos
can be made with the librarian at Shiloh Museum. 

Membership Membership Dues are from Jan 1 to Dec 31.

Society's Publication

"FLASHBACK" is published quarterly, featuring Washington County's history, historical articles about family and public life in the area, genealogy information, and queries relating to Washington County for members.

"Flashforward" is published quarterly and contains news and information for members.
