October 23 Program: 

Arkansas’ Haunted History

 

With Halloween just days away, the White County Historical Society will spotlight “Arkansas’ Haunted History” in its regular monthly meeting Monday, October 23, at Harding Place in Searcy.

          Elizabeth James of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program in Little Rock will present ghost stories and folklore associated with historic Arkansas buildings and sites. 

          The meeting will start at 7 p.m. and is open the public. 

          James recently conducted a record-breaking tour of the historic Morris Farm at Denmark. The crowd of 190 people September 9 was the largest in the history of the statewide AHPP “Walk Through History” program.
