David Dawson

Historical Society Program July 28 Will Offer Practical Suggestions

Have you thought about preparing a family history but are uncertain about how to begin? Do you need a little boost or a few specific suggestions to point you in the right direction? The White County Historical Society will jump-start your genealogy/memoir/autobiography at our next meeting, Monday, July 28, at Harding Place in Searcy.  David Dawson, treasurer and board member of WCHS, will be the featured speaker. When his mother passed away in January, he was surprised to discover that she had quietly preserved many years of family information and materials, and had continued the work even in her final year. If you are interested in family history, you will enjoy David’s story and practical ideas.  He has entitled his program "Why And How To Write A Family History." The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
