This cemetery was listed for the first time in December 2001 by Leroy Blair of the White County Historical Society. Another
Society member, Sam Holloway of El Paso, had told him of this site. Blair prepared the following directions to reach it: "From
Antioch, take Jim Corbitt Road about 1.2 miles to Louie Pruitt Road. Turn right and go about 2.2 miles to Walker Lane. Turn left and
 bullcr
go .2 [two-tenths] mile to Bull Creek Cove Road. Take this road about .4 [four-tenths] mile to Cemetery Ridge Road and turn left.
The cemetery is in the woods on the right, about 200 yards from the road. It is in very bad condition."
Blair found some 30 to 40 depressions that are probably unmarked graves. Only three stones were discovered. "I talked to a Mr.
Riley who lives near the cemetery," Blair reported, "and he said at one time there were several stones but they were destroyed by
vandals."
Blanche Belew Hicks, 89, who grew up at Antioch, told a Society member that she remembered the cemetery but did not know a
name for it. She said her Uncle Ray Belew farmed near the cemetery and that there was once a Methodist church and a school,
Maple Springs, nearby. She said her brothers used to find lots of arrowheads near the creek.
Shortly after Blair discovered the cemetery, the news reached Frank Price of Searcy and his brother Coy of Beebe, who visited the
gravesite of their great grandfather Russell Price for the first time. Coy Price’s son Mickey of the Little Rock Air Force Base
accompanied them. "I was thrilled to learn about this cemetery," Frank Price said. "The Russell Price buried here is my great
grandfather. I have been searching for Grandpa Russell’s grave for years. Russell was born in 1821 in Spartanburg, SC. He was the
son of Frederick Price and Delia (Richards) Price, who are buried in Weir Cemetery. They arrived in White County about 1835."

I will be posting more burials later. The Searcy Daily Citizen donated all their Micro Film and Ledgers dating
back to 1953. After reviewing them, if I find a death of a person that we do not have I will to add to the
cemetery listings.
There are some graves listed as unmarked that may have had a tombstone set since the listing was made.
I may have missed some graves when I prepared the listing. Some cemeteries are very hard to get an
accurate listing due to how some graves are scattered
The following Abbreviations are used in the listings
.
FM-Funeral home marker DS-Double tombstone TS-Triple tombstone
(Obit)-means that the Historical Society has, or has access to the Obituary for this person.
