This cemetery is located across Highway 323 from the New Hope Methodist Church about five miles south of historic West Point. It
is in Section 12, Township 6 North, Range 6 West. The original report was prepared by Richard E. McAllister of the White County
Historical Society in April 2000. He reported the cemetery was well-kept but parking was a problem because the cemetery is "next
to the road and only has a narrow walkway across the ditch; it is risky to park on the road and look; the church is across on the
other side and down the road a little." Additional information was provided by WCHS member Leroy Blair who visited the cemetery
October 19, 2000. He found two unmarked graves plus four pipes driven into the ground which may also be graves.
This cemetery is not to be confused with the New Hope Cemetery north of Searcy.

I will be posting more burials later. The Searcy Daily Citizen donated all their Micro Film and Ledgers dating
back to 1953. After reviewing them, if I find a death of a person that we do not have I will to add to the
cemetery listings.
There are some graves listed as unmarked that may have had a tombstone set since the listing was made.

I may have missed some graves when I prepared the listing. Some cemeteries are very hard to get an
accurate listing due to how some graves are scattered
The following Abbreviations are used in the listings
.
FM-Funeral home marker DS-Double tombstone TS-Triple tombstone
(Obit)-means that the Historical Society has, or has access to the Obituary for this person.
