This cemetery is located on Highway 124 between the communities of Little Red and Sunnydale. It was listed March 24, 1981, by

Mrs. and Mrs. Leister E. Presley and Linda Rowe of the White County Historical Society, who reported it had been neglected but in

recent years had been mowed and several new stones added. It was prepared for the Internet in 1999 by Richard White. Additional

information provided by Historical Society member Eloise (Brunson) Scroggins and her son John in April 2000, then updated with

additional names and other information by Leroy Blair of the Society later that year. Blair visited the cemetery again on December

1, 2006, and when he updated the list he added row numbers. Row 1 is at the east end of the cemetery toward Sunnydale.

This cemetery is the final resting place for members of the James King family who were killed when a tornado hit their farm home

at Little Red on April 7, 1903. The lone survivor was an 11-month-old boy, Paul King, whose story is recorded in “Orphan of the

Storm” in the 2000 edition of White County Heritage published by the Historical Society. Donations for the upkeep of Philadelphia
