Lighthouse Pentecostal Jeasus Name Church - Beebe

The Lighthouse Pentecostal Jesus Name Church was founded by Dr. John Scheel, September 14, 1966. Eight persons attended the first service in the "Old Theater Building" in McRae, AR.

The church moved to Beebe in 1968. A new church was soon built. A Christian School began in 1974 with grades K-12. The school is fully accredited today by the Accrediting Commission International and has Model Status Accreditation with Accelerated Christian Education.

In 1979 a Christian College was formed. The college goal is to teach Christian School Teachers, Ministers and Christian lay workers.

The church has been in a continuous building project since building the first building. The church has been in constant but sure growth.

On January 21, 1999 a tornado destroyed the entire facility. The church occupied the former Wallace Baker Building at 407 West Center Street in Beebe, AR, while the new facility was under construction.

The church  now enjoys new facility. It has over 45,000 square feet and houses the sanctuary, Sunday School rooms, a Dining/Fellowship Hall, a double-court gymnasium, offices, and the Lighthouse Christian Academy and College.
