Lynn Womble "Buddy" Baker 64, long time member of the White County Historical Society, died August 6, 2007 following a long illness.  He presented several memorable programs to the society, the latest on June 25 when he showed part of his collection of Swords and Long Knives.  He had been, in healthier days, a Civil War reinactor.  The Society expresses its condolences to his family.

Zelda G. Dawson 86, a member of the Society for many years and the Treasurer for the past few years, passed away on January, 17, 2008 after a short illness. She will be missed by the Society and her family
