You asked for a second helping of White County Cookin', the Historical Society's first-ever cookbook.  So, we have reached back into the past for another potful of delightful recipes, stories and tidbits from long ago.  They can all be found in our hot all-new cookbook, White County's Cookin' Again.   Featuring a sassy photograph of 1946 Searcy Garden Club members on the front cover, the new book has 350 comfort food recipes, some great old pictures and lots of tales from the past. Most of the recipes came from WCHS members but others chipped in too - such as Georgetown One Stop's popular Lemon Icebox Cake and Bald Knob Market Cafe's Coconut Cream Pie.  White County's Cookin' Again is the perfect companion to White County Cookin' and both are excellent as gifts.  Either cookbook may be purchased for $10 at WCHS meetings.  Mail orders add $2 for postage.  Send order and check to WCHS, P.O. Box 537, Searcy, AR 72145. Be sure to designate which cookbook you want, I or II.  Proceeds will go to the Society's preservation projects.
