Amy Burton to Address WCHS August 22

Remember the glory days of Downtown Searcy?  Amy Burton is working hard to generate that magic again, as Executive Director of Main Street Searcy.  She will bring an update on her activities at the next meeting of the White County Historical Society, Monday, August 22, at Harding Place in Searcy.  Come to meet Amy and hear what the future can bring for Downtown. The meeting will start at 7 p.m.

 

 The Searcy High School Band struts its stuff on Courthouse Square in 1950.  This is a Homecoming parade heading south down Spring Street.  Downtown is where the action was in bygone days, and members of Main Street Searcy hope to recapture that spirit once again.
