WALKER SCHOOL 1929-1930

WALKER - 1929/30 school teachers and students.

WALKER SCHOOL 1929-30. Homer Fulbright (left rear) and Ina McBride (right rear) were teachers of this group of students at Walker School in the 1929-30 school year.  Ina married William Leach and both taught in White County for many years.  They also served as presidents of the White County Historical Society, as did their son Bill, who donated this photo to WCHS.  The identities of a few students on the back row was written on a similar print in the Leach collection:  The girl in the checkered blouse (fourth person from the left) is Doris Sego; to her right is Justine Gaines, and to her right is Eunice Sanders.  The boy in overalls standing next to Miss McBride is Paul Powell and beside him (wearing scarf around her neck) is Mario Gaines
