How to support the society

The White County Historical Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.  Gifts to the Society are tax deductable.  If you would like to assist the work of one of the largest historical societies in the state you can send monetary donations to P. O. Box 537.  Donations can be made for the general operation of the Society, to the Smyrna Church building, the Pioneer Village or to the Railcar Restoration Project. 

Contributions: Other ways to support the Society: If you have documents, old newspapers, family bibles, marriage records, letters which have survived more than 100 years, record books or any other documents which would provide historic, social or genealogical data, please consider contributing either an abstract, transcription or scanned image of those records.

 

Volunteer:  Pioneer Village, The Railcar Project, and the Smyrna Church all can use volunteers.
Allow us to copy your family photos
Donate items to any of the projects.
Attend meeting: Show you support for the Society and enjoy the excellent group of speakers.  Harding Place is easy to find and a comfortable place to enjoy a program
Share your family stories: You don't have to be a great writer.  There are a number of members that will take you memories and form them into a publishable story.

We can archive these records for future generations.  You never know what catastrophic event might destroy the originl
