HAMMONSVILLE SCHOOL - 1914

A total of 32 children attended Hammonsville School January 27, 1914, to have their picture made.  This photograph survived the Rose Bud tornado of 1982 in the safekeeping of a cardboard shoebox.  Frances A. Tolliver of the White County Historical Society could identify only one person – her grandmother Ollena Villary “Nina” Stone, who is in the checkered dress fourth from left on the third row.  She was 14 years old.   If you can identify others or have additional information on this photo, contact the White County Historical Society, P.O. Box 537, Searcy, AR 72145.
