in Webb City: Benjamine F. BURCHAM to Miss Leanna ST.
CLAIR November 30, 1893 (marriage book E-207) by minister
of the gospel M. H. Snow.
Two children were born of this
marriage: Edna Burcham Aug 13 1894; Homer Burcham Nov 18,
1898. E. M. JONES to Mrs. Leanna Burcham November 19,
1901 (marriage book G26) by minister of the gospel M. H.
Snow I believe William Andrew Dunigan and Leanna probably
left Webb City with her 2 children of the Burcham
marriage shortly after their marriage and ended up in
SanBois Township, Haskill County, OK where my mother and
her sisters were born (1908-11).
Leanna died there about
1915 giving birth to another daughter. William took the
children to Chanute KS to be cared for by their
grandmother Amanda. I have a record of the children in
school there for a short while and then lost all trace of
them until their marriages in Oklahoma.
William died in
1935 in Ft. Smith ARK. (I have the death record.) Are
there any church records of Rev. Snow that might provide
a trace of my grandparents and their ancestors/siblings?
Are there any school records of 1890s that might indicate
if Leanna was enrolled in school prior to her marriage at
age 16 or was her first born Edna Burcham enrolled in
school around 1904.
My mother thought Leanna was born in
Waldron, Scott County, ARK but I don't have proof - need
a year of birth; possibly 1877. Any help with these
ancestors would be greatly appreciated.

Don, I was delighted to get your reply. I am searching
for information about my father, B. P. Branch. He was
born in Texas; but on my birth certificate the City is
not shown. When I was born (12-01-1934) , my father was
69 years old (I don't have his actual birth date) and my
mother who was his second wife (Blanche Burrow) was 26
years old. My father previously lived in Branch, AR with
his first wife, Harriet (I'm not certain of her maiden
name - believe it was Hunter or Boydston. My father died
June 10, 1935 and is buried by Harriet in a small
cemetary in Branch, AR, which is in Franklin County. He
died in Charleston, AR even though we lived in Dyer, AR,
which is in Crawford County.
B. P. and Harriet had a son, Roland P. Branch, born 1885
and died in Tulsa, Ok, Tulsa County, in 1959. They also
had a daughter, named Gertrude Branch Gammill, born 1892,
died also in Tulsa in 1966. They had another daughter,
which I don't know her name.

the R. L. LANGSTON, who is buried in the Hickory Ridge

Don,
I was delighted to get your reply. I am searching for
information about my father, B. P. Branch. He was born in
Texas; but on my birth certificate the City is not shown.
When I was born (12-01-1934) , my father was 69 years old
(I don't have his actual birth date) and my mother who
was his second wife (Blanche Burrow) was 26 years old.
My father previously lived in Branch, AR with his first
wife, Harriet (I'm not certain of her maiden name -
believe it was Hunter or Boydston.
My father died June 10, 1935 and is buried by Harriet in
a small cemetary in Branch, AR, which is in Franklin
County. He died in Charleston, AR even though we lived in
Dyer, AR, which is in Crawford County.
B. P. and Harriet had a son, Roland P. Branch, born 1885
and died in Tulsa, Ok, Tulsa County, in 1959. They also
had a daughter, named Gertrude Branch Gammill, born 1892,
died also in Tulsa in 1966. They had another daughter,
which I don't know her name.
Harriet died in 1927.
I have been told that the name of the cemetary in Branch,
AR is Boydston (not sure of the spelling). I am trying to
locate whom I could contact for the records of that
cemetary. I haven't given up on my search.
Thanks so much for your quick response.

I'm looking for a DAVIS family residing in Mountain Top,
Franklin Co. in 1859. According to family records, my
ggg-grandfather John Henry DAVIS (b.circa 1800 in SC)
died in 1859 in Mountain Top at the home of his brother.
Unfortunately, the family records don't give the name of
this brother. The DAVIS I'm looking for would have been
born circa 1790-1810 in SC, GA, or TN. There was also a
sister named Jane (Jennie) who married Joseph
STEWART(STUART) and resided in Johnson Co. Can anyone do
a 1860 census lookup for my unknown DAVIS brother?

Ken, What a wonderful thoughtful person you are.. I wish
it had been me you had found the bible for... I am still
looking for one for the Schmidt family from germany.
anyway I have never done a look-up for anyone on the
O'Kane surname but there is a lady listed on the surname
index for Franklin county, searching "HEMBREE"
which is one of the names listed in the bible. Her name
is Dorothy Pantier email address dpantier@cswnet.com
I can tell you, from a small history book my mother and I
put together in 1988 the bible belonged to Col. W.S.
O'Kane in the book is a photo of his Elm Grove Fruit Farm
near Altus, AR.
Altus also has a museum, of which my mother is involved,
they could have more information. I am not sure. They
have also put up a monument to the coal miners of
Franklin, Logan and Johnson Counties.... I searched the
miners for anyone by that name and did not find anyone.
as you will note
sent a copy of this email to Dorothy Pantier.... I hope a
connection is made.. if not we might send a note to the
list coordinator, perhaps we can connect that way...
Thank you You are wonderful. Fran (Broken Arrow, OK)
