Sardis Methodist Church

Sardis Methodist Church was organized in 1850 by Rev. A. R. Wingfield. It is located off Hwy 128, six miles northeast of Sparkman, in the Pine Grove Community. Sardis Cemetery is located next door and Givens Cemetery is located across the street from the Church. Charter members include: Frank Brazeale and wife; William Pride and wife Caroline; Eveline S. (Hutchinson) Butler, Captain Daily, Carrie Daily, Ellifieth Daily, Mrs. Steward, Montgomery Jones and Dr. & Mrs. Jones.

The present church land was deeded to the church by John Daily, on 11 October 1858. The building was constructed in 1917 by D. A. Mann.

The church was listed in National Register of Historic Places on 28 October 1983.
