Willie Frank Amis is descendant from a long line of prominent families in the Dallas County area, including the AMIS, KNIGHT & CLIFTON families of Sparkman, Manchester and Owen Townships. Willie service as the Justice of Peace for Dallas County for over 58 years beginning in 1910. Willie was the oldest of nine children born to Paul Franklin & Mary Caroline (Clifton) Amis.

5. Bernes Frank AMIS (Willie Frank1). Bernes was born in Arkansas on 2 November 1917. Bernes died on 11 July 1991; he was 73. Bernes was buried in DeLamar Cemetery, Manning, Dallas County, Arkansas.
On 19 August 1939 when Bernes was 21, he married Nettie Lee LANGLEY, daughter of Andrew F. LANGLEY (30 June 1881-6 March 1925) & Hettie Lee HOOD (14 Sepember 1885-2 June 1958), in Dallas County, Arkansas. Nettie was born in 1920.

On 24 June 1939 Frances Pleasant married Luther WAGES, in Dallas County, Arkansas. Luther was born in 1918.
