FORDYCE -- Helen Stell, 71, of Fordyce, died August 6, 2001, at Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock.
Born October 24, 1929, at Fordyce, she was a daughter of the late Rowland Dewey Williams and Meece Gill Williams.
She was a homemaker and a member of Prosperity Baptist Church at Ramsey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Stell.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth E. Stell of Bryant; two daughters, Janice A. Hoops of North Little Rock and Jean Stell of Lonoke; three brothers, Bruce Williams of Fordyce, Carroll Williams of North Little Rock and Jerry Williams of Riverside, California; two sisters, Armon Atchley of Hot Springs and Mamie Ruth "Top" Wheeler of Fordyce; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce with the Rev. Jack Bledsoe and the Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Temperance Hill Cemetery near Fordyce.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
