Fred Davis Gill, age 75, of Fordyce, died Monday, March 10, 2003, in the Arkansas Heart Hospital at Little Rock. " Born May 4, 1927 at Cotton Plant, he was a son of the late Edgar Harris GIll an d Versa Wood Gill.
He was the retired owner/operator of Gill Oil Company and a member of the First Baptist Church of Fordyce. "He was preced in death by two brothers, Paul Gill and Roy Warren Gill. "Survivors include his wife, Retta Marie Gill of Fordyce; two sons, Doug Gill of Fordyce and Terry Gill of Houston , Texas; one brother Lawrence Gill of Fordyce; three sisters, Agnes Dean and Georgia Faye Rogers, both of Fordyce and Rubie Moore of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, in the FIrst Baptist Church of FOrdyce with Rev. Ken Shaddox officiating. Burial was in Stoney Point Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home, Inc.
