Bernice Langley Overton
Bernice Langley Overton, age 91, of Springdale, formerly of Fort Smith and Malvern, died Sunday, June 22, 2003, in Springdale. She was born November 8, 1911, in Dalark, Ark., the daughter of Harvey and Lucy Hudson Langley. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church of Malvern. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Presley A. Overton, on Sept. 1, 1985, and five brothers, Earl T., Percy, Herchel, Ralph and Carl Langley. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Ann Overton Sauer and her husband, Kenneth F. Sauer of Springdale; one grandson, Dr. Kenneth Morgan Sauer of Little Rock. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at the Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel. Interment will be in the Delamar Cemetery. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
