FORDYCE — Donald Allen, 53, of Fordyce, died Tuesday at Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce.
Born July 8, 1953, at Fordyce, he was a son of Frankie Lee Childs of Fordyce and the late Jerry Miles Allen.
He served in the Army.
He was a member of New Providence Baptist Church at Fordyce.
Other survivors include his wife, Dorothy Allen of Tacoma, Wash.; a son, Christopher Penister of Atlanta; two daughters, Erica Hall, serving in the military in Afghanistan, and Frankie M. Childs of Warren; five sisters, Odessa Allen, Evelyn Galloway, Mattie Macon, Sharon Cone and Barbara Bennett, all of Fordyce; a stepfather, Allen Childs of Fordyce; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Greenville First Baptist Church at Fordyce with the Rev. Floyd Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Marks Greenville Cemetery at Fordyce by Marks Funeral Home of Fordyce.
