Charles E. Humphries

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Charles E. Humphries, 73 of Sherwood, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born July 26, 1932 in Holly Springs, Arkansas a son of Charlie Dillard Humphries and Keetrel Juanita Launius Humphries. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam with a 26 year career as an aviator in the United States Army. He was also a member of Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife, Nell Humphries of Sherwood; three sons, Barry Humphries and his wife, Donna of North Little Rock; Todd Humphries and his wife, Lara of North Little Rock, Jared Humphries of Sherwood; one daughter, Melanie Bowers and her husband, Dana of Sherwood; one sister, Shirley Warrick of Benton; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Friday 6pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Saturday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Paul Martin officiating. Burial at Mt.
