Garland County Historical Society -
An Offsite Link
Melting Pot Genealogical Society,
organized in 1976, meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, September through
May, at 1:30 p.m., at the Society. Membership dues are $20.00 for the calendar
year and includes the MPGS publications (add $3.00 if publications are mailed).
Monthly meeting programs are designed to promote interest in research, to foster
careful documentation, and to encourage scholarly writing. The Melting Pot
Genealogical Society library has collected and preserved over two thousand
volumes of genealogy related books for Garland County and for most of the other
counties in Arkansas as well as other states. The society is located at 649-A
Ouachita Avenue, Hot Springs, AR (501-624-0229). Their website address is www.rootsweb.com/~armpgs.
The Melting Pot Genealogical Society Library, staffed by member volunteers, is
open on Mondays, Fridays, and the second Saturday of the month from 10:00 A.M. -
2:00 P.M.
Thank you, in advance. We are
hoping to get as many people as possible know about the book
and submit their Garland County family history(ies).
