Dick Collins Dies At Dickson Hospital.

Dick Collins, aged 70 died at 9:10 last evening at the Dickson Memorial Hospital following an illness of two weeks due to complications. Mr. Collins operated a horse drawn dray. He was a native of Missouri, but had been a resident of Paragould for many years. Funeral services will be conducted at two tomorrow afternoon from the family residence and burial will be made in the New Friendship cemetery. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Bertie Collins, a sister, a brother Will Collins of Missouri and three daughters ( Ann, Dona and Rose) from a former marriage whose names were not known to the informant (at the time).

Heart Attack Is Fatal to John N. Holland

John Newton Holland, age 74 died Wednesday, January 7, 1948 at his home on route five following a heart attack suffered yesterday morning. He was a native of Calvert City, Ky., but had been a resident of Greene County many years moving here from Mississippi County.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Morning Star Church and burial will be made in the Mt. Zion cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Rousseau, pastor of the East Side Baptist church will officiate.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha L. (Poe) Holland; a son, W.L. Holland of route three; five grandchildren; 11 great grand children; two sisters, Mrs. Matie Hale of Ridgeley, Tenn. and Mrs. Mollie Nash of Benton, Ky; and two brothers, W.J. Holland of Troy, Tenn., and J.M. Holland of Calvert City, Ky.  prmassey
