NELSON
Jacob Nelson was a slave. He was probably born during the 1840's or 1850's.
He had 16 children beginning in 1862 or 1863. He married a woman named Charlotte.
Charlotte was probably 1/2 Native American. Jacob was very light with blue
eyes. My grandfather, Enoch Nelson was born in 1865. He was the second child.
The first born was named Abraham. Other children were called Joseph, Lucinda,
Margaret (Maggie). I can't remember the other children's names. These children
were born in Ashdown, AR. Charlotte, the mother would still perform her
native dances as late as the 1910's. How can I obtain information? -- Submittted
