This is a very old cemetery used by the black community. It is no longer active. The land originally was owned by A.L. Erwin and was known as the Erwin Cemetery or Spring Lake Cemetery. It is estimated to have been established before the turn of the century. The cemetery is located not far from the site of the former St. Luke's Baptist Church.
